Process of Determination
- Committee Structure: Chair: Current President, One Fellow Member, One Regular Member, One Past Board Member
- Recipient is nominated by committee
- Ensure completion of a fellow award nomination form for all nominees and provide to the board of directors
- Approved by board of directors vote
Eligibility
The recipient should have a minimum of ten years as a regular certified member.
Criteria
- The nominee must have demonstrated national prominent leadership in ATPO; influence and achievement in clinical practice, education, or science.
- The nominee must have documented evidence of significant contributions to ATPO and the profession.
- The nominator must be an ATPO regular member or Fellow in good standing.
Frequency and Intent of Presentation
This award is not intended to be given every year. It is intended to honor and show respect to the significant contributions made by the ATPO member.
Award
The recipient of the award will be announced at ATPO’s annual membership luncheon and shall receive a plaque and “Fellow” charm for ATPO Membership Pin. Upon earning Fellow status, Fellow members do not pay membership dues.

Process of Determination
Given at the discretion of the President
Eligibility
ATPO Member
Criteria
The recipient should have demonstrated a significant contribution of their time and talents to the president and to ATPO.
Frequency and Intent of Presentation
This award may be given annually but is not required. It is given by the President to an ATPO member they feel is deserving of recognition.
Award
The recipient shall receive a multi-colored glass paperweight in honor of their dedication and contribution.

Award
A certificate of appreciation, a medallion, and a desk clock will be awarded to the past president at the annual membership meeting.

| Board of Directors |

Award
A certificate of appreciation shall be presented to board members upon completion of their term at the annual membership meeting.
|
| Travel Grant Recipients |
| |
|
Award recipients will receive financial assistance per criteria and eligibility as determined by the JCAHPO Education and Research Foundation. A certificate is awarded to recipients at the annual Scientific Session.

| Volunteer Achievement Award |

|
Process of Determination
Recipient earns and tracks points for volunteering as outlined on the Volunteer Achievement Chart. The points are submitted to ATPO by the recipient for recognition.
Eligibility
ATPO Members
Criteria
- Points are earned by volunteering time by serving on a committee, serving as an ATPO officer, contributing funds toward travel grants, writing CE articles, teaching or lecturing for ATPO or JCAHPO, participating as an evaluator for JCAHPO, or assisting with regional programs. Each activity is assigned a point value (see Volunteer Achievement Chart).
- A maximum of 5 points may be earned per year.
- Each ATPO member is responsible for logging their activities with type of activity and date.
- Each ATPO member is responsible to turn in their sheet upon completion of earned points to receive an award.
Frequency and Intent of Presentation
These awards are intended to recognize volunteers and will be given each year during the Membership Luncheon at the Annual Meeting.
Award
- 20 points – Honorable Achievement Award (minimum 4 years) – recipient receives a certificate and a pin charm.
- 40 points – Sustaining Member Award (minimum 8 years) – recipient receives a certificate, pin charm, and a glass statue.
- 80 points – Lifetime Achievement Award (minimum 16 years) - recipient receives plaque, pin charm, and large glass statue.
- All award recipients will be honored at the annual Membership Luncheon.

Process of Determination
A short essay is written and submitted to the ATPO Board of Directors. The recipient is approved by the Board of Directors.
Eligibility
Nominee must be a current member of ATPO.
Criteria
Nominations are accepted for any ATPO member who has inspired a colleague to become a member, did a good deed, made a difference in a patient’s life, shared a valuable clinical tip, served as a mentor, etc..
Frequency and Intent of Presentation
This award is given quarterly and is intended to recognize any member who has contributed to their profession.
Award
The winner is highlighted in ATPO's Viewpoints® Magazine.
