On behalf of myself and the entire ATPO Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to the ATPO website. We are glad you are here and hope you will take some time to browse around. On this website, you will find lots of information and many useful tools to support you and to help further your career. A good place to start is to view this brief PowerPoint slide show about the benefits of ATPO membership and the value of JCAHPO certification:
Now that you have an overview of ATPO and its benefits, let me point out some other links on this page for you to explore. On the HOME page, there are three boxes with quick links to areas that will be useful to you.
- “BECOME A MEMBER” This lists the many member benefits, and gives you the links to membership applications. Did you know ATPO has a Group Membership option for your clinic?
- “CAREER CONNECTION” Your clinic can post a job opening with the ATPO/Local Eye Site Career Connection, or you can view job opportunities throughout the United States. The job openings are listed by state and description, which makes it very easy to use. It is a very helpful tool for both your office and your personal, private use.
- “EARN CREDITS ONLINE” Every year that you renew your membership in ATPO, you’re eligible to earn 4 free CE credits. Login on the MEMBERS ONLY PAGE for a list of all available courses! There is also an annual travel grant available to attend ATPO’s Scientific Session and Grand Rounds Meeting – that’s an opportunity to get $500 to assist you with travel expenses. The ACTIONED link will take you straight to its website that has many additional online courses. And finally, the JCAHPO link connects you to the most current information about certification test centers, the Certification Criteria Book, and links to OMT Training Programs.
This just scratches the surface of our user-friendly website. Be sure to click on each pull down menu across the top of the page: “About ATPO”, “Education Resources” and “Membership”. Each one has a lot more information for you to use.
And last, but certainly not least, please note the gold bar that says, “MEMBERS ONLY LOGIN”! With your membership, you get access to the most recent Salary and Benefits Report, your link to the Complimentary CE Credits, and the Viewpoints library, which has all of the issues of our magazine in a PDF format.
