The support of educational resources and opportunities for allied health personnel in ophthalmology is at the heart of ATPO’s mission. Regardless of your credential or experience level, ATPO continuously provides interesting and innovative educational opportunities that reflect your professional experience.


ATPO members receive 4 FREE continuing education credits when they join. At $10 and more per credit, these savings practically pay for your membership. Continuing Education
 

Continuing Education (CE) Programs are sponsored year-round, in addition to E-Learning opportunities on www.actioned.org and the JCAHPO & ATPO sponsored monthly Webinar Series. In order to maintain JCAHPO certification, candidates must earn CE credits by attending these and other educational opportunities approved by JCAHPO.

 
Ophthalmic Training Programs
 

Programs are available throughout the U.S. and Canada. These programs train individuals to become ophthalmic medical technicians (OMT). For a list of available programs, click here.

2012 ATPO Scientific Session Grants
 

ATPO is offering up to two $500 Scientific Session Grants to attend the 2012 Scientific Session in Chicago, IL. Guidelines, application, and release form for the 2012 ATPO Scientific Session Grants are available from these links. Deadline to apply is July 2012. All applicants must submit an application and ORIGINAL essay titled, "How has Continuing Education Improved My Patient Services?"
